Elegance

When Elegance came to Glimmerwing for training, to say the other dragon was surprised would be an understatement. Having earned the reputation as a lover of fine things and all things beautiful, it was never thought that the daughter of the clan scribe would ever be interested in training to defend the clan.

Nonetheless, Glimmerwing took the request seriously, heading out to the marketplace to buy the needed equipment and discussed training plans with Darjeeling. For all her reputation, Elegance had recently found out her parents had had another egg, a younger brother for her, Blackmagic, and this spurred her to learn how to protect the clan. Doting on him constantly, Elegance came back and forth from the Arena, depositing treasures and trinkets with Blackmagic, the hatchling delighted with not only the gifts but the attention too. Archive and Gemstar were simply glad that Elegance had not rejected the hatchling and seemed to get on well with him.

Training continued and Elegance grew frustrated at her perceived lack of progress within the Arena. While Glimmerwing and Darjeeling could take on even the toughest of creatures seemingly effortlessly, Elegance found everything to be a struggle.

"How long do you think we're trained for Ell?" Glimmerwing asked, "We didn't learn this overnight. Have patience, you will get there. And who knows," Glim continued with a smile, "perhaps it'll be you training others in the clan instead of us."

Knowing that at least Glimmerwing had faith in her, Elegance continues her training.
