PERSONALITY

No, no! Don't let his appearance and countless scars and odd ways of thinking scare you! He's sweet, really! Kind and gentle, right? Don't mind the bloody pawprints he leaves behind! Anyone that knows Crawford, who is also known as Scab, Bloodline, Blood Heir, and anything else kids these days come up with, will say he's a kind and gentle Tundra who would never even bare his fangs. He is always smiling, and always gentle with everyone, especially young hatchlings. His attitude can only be described as patient and calm, his overall outlook for life being a rather positive one. No one can put him down, especially when he gives one of his famous bright smiles and a gentle hug to anyone that comes close. How could anyone hate such a kind dragon? A lot of clan members know he's a little strange. They can tell in the way he moves, the way he thinks, but overall all they can pin him for is being way too nice for his own good. He even cooks for the whole clan when no one else wants to. What is there to hate?

For other dragons, there is plenty. They know about his past, about his former clan, about what they did. That is reason enough to be skeptical of such a dragon like Crawford. He's too nice and kind for his upbringing, his history not seeming very kind and gentle. Of course, one's past is no reason to dislike someone, yes? That's what Crawford says to those that question him a little too much, but not even they could spark his anger. In fact, no one in the clan knows what he looks like angry, and many don't want to know. He's a large dragon with a lot of muscle on him, and he has taken down clan enemies and chased them off... only for the news to reach the clan that the attacker had been found dead a few days later. Crawford always was the most upset with that type of news. He was sure they got better after the attack... oh dear.

Regardless, most clan members see him as a great friend and someone they can confide in. His kind and gentle attitude towards them makes him popular among everyone, except the select few that question why he is even there. There is one thing everyone can agree on, though. Crawford seems a bit too sad when someone that attacked them is found... not as alive as they once were. Everyone can understand feeling remorse, but not for someone that had tried to kill members of the clan, yes? He also seems to be the first to react, not even in shock, but in... something else, and sometimes, members of the clan swear that his blood-red fur may have some actual blood stains, fresh too. Aren't Tundras vegetarians?

HISTORY

Born a noble in a highly respected clan, Crawford grew up learning that the common practice with anyone that tries to harm the clan is to kill them then cover your fur in their blood to state that you have dealt with the problem. For Crawford, his fur had always been the color of blood, having changed when he was a hatchling, so he can't really show off the fact he dealt with the problem. This was and is a problematic practice, but it is life for him, and for his former clan. A clan focused on war and protecting their land. Not a clan built around mutual understanding with their neighbors and terrified travelers. Since he was young, Crawford grew up with those ideals. To protect his family with violence and to perform the rituals he was taught. What else is there for him to know? Its normal, right?

By the time he left his clan in favor of another, it was known that he was part of a noble blood line and that he needed to be treated as such. He ignored this aspect of himself, though, in favor of being treated like any other dragon. While he was living with other clans, he would get attacked--sadly--by a member of said clan. Oh, well, they seemed like nice dragons yes? With that clan marked off his list of possible homes, he kept moving down and down, wandering the lands to try and find a nice home, having to leave some because someone got nasty. Why couldn't there be a nice clan with no nasty dragons in it? It seemed impossible to find, but he soon found one. A clan in the land of the Windsinger. Ah, perhaps this one, yes?

So far, Crawford is happy with his current clan and has high expectations for them. A few of the dragons don't seem to like him, but that is their own problem, they haven't been violent so why would Crawford worry? In fact, this clan seems to need his protection, especially when some nasty raiders wander by. Oh, yes, he'll protect the clan and ensure that the raiders learn their lesson. A few of the dragons had begun to give him nicknames, cruel things, really, but it has never bothered Crawford. He lets the imaginations of his new clan run wild with him, he has nothing to hide after all. There is no such thing as a crime in protecting those you care about, right? Right.

(updated lore: he found thorsthuum in the fire territory by following the smell of blood and burning. is now his best friend.)
