With a booming laugh and a knack for the future this Snapper is younger than many of the prophets and seekers of izzet, but nonetheless powerful. While Delta is the quiet inevitable tic of the ocean floor, Cary is the searing glimpse of a blade just before it strikes.

Cary, like many of the denizens of Izzet, has transformed in his years through intentional modification and the leylines bleeding through. His new heart and ribs remain electric, but the brass is tied through with wind and water magic; he took many journeys as a battle mage and captains advisor upon the sea scorpion and was all the better for it.

Cary is old. He was ripped apart by a mysterious predator when he was an adolescent and he was found by a squabbling couple of dragons. They saw the only way to save him was to remove a large amount of his ribcage and intall a generator and a mechanical heart. While modifications by choice are common in lightning, this type of large scale modifications was yet untested at the time, and his prosthetics need regular upkeep, both mechanical and magical.

After he Came back from the dead, so to speak, he wandered the ocean floor for many years, becoming familiar with the creatures and cultures of the deep. He heard the murmur of the currents and the divinity in the mechanical hum of Sorneiths core. He is a listener more than a speaker, and one day he will perhaps dictate his prophecies into the world, for now he shores up mountains and docks on the brink of collapse and tells maren when to avoid certain depths.
