Personality: lazy, shiftless, selfish, affable, unambitious

Rugan was born in an earth clan, but was sent away as a hatchling. He has spent nearly all of his life in the Blackrock Hill Clan and does not see any reason to leave. The earth dragon enjoys a quiet life. Eating and sleeping are his favourite pastimes. Lazy, slow, and considered by some to be a little weird he is something of a loner, though he doesn't seem to mind. He is more powerful than he lets on, but why should he give up his easy life for hardship and battles? Power, glory, treasures... these things do not interest him. All he cares about is convenience and his own happiness.
Since he has become the Clan's messenger, his life has become a bit more exciting.

Notes:
- adores Eria, though rarely shows it (because romance is so strenuous)
- has no diplomatic skills at all (he just says what he thinks - he doesn't mean to insult people, it just happens)
- his messenger status has saved him quite a few times on his journeys
