Biography
Perhaps one of the least pleasant dragons you'd ever deal with, Haemovis is quite a harsh dragon. He can barely stand the pearlcatchers he shares his home with, an age old rivalry which he refuses to let go of. He is much like The Scarred Wastleland, his first home, unforgiving, rough and lethal. The only soft side he seems to have left is for Diathi, his partner. When he isn't busy snarling and grimacing, he spends time fishing for the clan, alone.
After a bout of arguments over the movements of the clan, Heamovis stropped off in a fit of anger and into the wings of another. And after a ruff and tumble time with someone's who'se anger mirrored his and they could go bout for bout...a nest was crafted. It was then Heamovis fear and guilt - the stark realisation that he had cheated on Daithi without a second thought - Upon seeing eggs, he fled back to Diathi to tell her, and try to explain himself. Only to have Diathi leave the clan in a flurry of tears and bitter words.
Haemovis sat amongst the wrecked, old nest. He had, for the first time ever...found it hard to feel anything.
Sulwen returned to the mourning Haemovis...accompanied by Pylos.
They soothed him, and Haemovis let himself be comforted and let his softness through - his weakness guarded by both the sky dancer and Ridgebacks wings.
They are a trio now. Slowly, as his heart mended, he returned to some of his harshness, snappy words and still would always have a major distrust of Pearlcatchers - especially Sirrah. But they kept away from each other and that was fine. His fishing resumed, occasionally kept company by Sulwen as she reads and is sometimes blessed when she quietly sings.
He isn't as ... Unpleasant as he had been. However he still wears a solid frown around all but his mates...even Pylos has warmed up to him. The spymaster occasionally perched atop the other, kneading scales and keeping Haemovis updated on things. Haemovis appreciates the male company just as much as Sulwen. A surprise even to himself.
When his and Sulwens first child expressed a great desire to serve under the PlagueMother, Heamovis was almost brought to tears with pride. She was good. Strong, a perfect fighter with her mothers tacticians mind and his brute force. All three agreed and blessed ChinaRain on her travels.
