PHRIXUS the Grieving Brother
Underwater Light Ripples | Demigod | Immortal | Royalty

Even though Phrixus and his sister, Helle, were born royalty, they never had an easy life. He was the son of Athamas, King of Boiotia, and Nephele, the Goddess of Clouds. His stepmother, Ino, hated Phrixus and his sister so much that she tried to kill them. They almost got sacrificed by the oracle, but were rescued by a ram sent by Nephele, their real mother.

When they were flying over Dardanelles, Helle swooned and fell from the ram. Unlike how legends told, Phrixus dived after her and watched her evaporate, for she is more cloud than human. Struck by his horror at watching his sister die, Phrixus floated there, until the ram nudged him urgently.
They escaped to Colchis, where the King Aeëtes welcomed him and gave Phrixus his daughter's hand. They demanded that he sacrifice the ram to Poseidon, the sea god, for their safe journey and to Zeus, for allowing Nephele to save her children.

Phrixus refused, instead, he shaved off the ram's golden fleece and gave it to Zeus and offered the ram and himself as servant to Poseidon. The gods accepted, but Poseidon allowed Phrixus to stay with his new family until his wife, Chalciope, passes away.

After many many years, Chalciope died, leaving behind 4 handsome sons. Phrixus took his leave, returning to Dardanelles, now known as Hellespont (sea of Helle), ruled by the Tidelord. He offered himself to Poseidon. Instead, the Tidelord turned him into a Coatl Dragon, to forever roam the sea of Helle, with the little friends he shall later meet.

He had suffered a lot but he had lived. He is the sea, the light of the ripples. He is Phrixus, the Grieving Brother.
