Neit

Beady red eyes peer out from a bony skull and snout. Despite his colouration, Neit is a Plague-born Nocturne. His parents, both bona fide Nature dragons, had moved to the Wandering Contagion after disease overran their old home in the outer Gladeveins, and it was here that he hatched. Growing up, Neit had always been told that his soul belonged to the Gladekeeper. His parents taught him the secrets of the Viridian Labyrinth: How to stalk forest prey, how to manoeuvre the close-growing trees, and how to apply clay and pigment across his scales to mimic his environment. Neit excelled at this, as he soon discovered when he returned from his first hunting trip laden with meat.

When he came of age, Neit decided to leave his family and join the esteemed Rapture Academy everyone had been talking about. There, he got to know the many Wildclaws who came to hone their skills. He admired their loyalty and their deadliness. How could he, a simple Nocturne hunter, compare to these legends? After questioning a learned old Wildclaw, Neit learned of an elusive magic scroll that would enable him to change into this coveted breed.

If one were to run into him today, Neit would appear a typical Nocturne, but late at night, he trawls dozens of tomes by candlelight, hungry for information. He made it his goal to find this scroll; for without it, he would never find completion.
