Uh-oh, looks like this tree tundra wandered a little too far from her lair (112894, Vanq), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread here.

Blossom was eager to follow in the footsteps of her parents. They were travelers who laid a nest on their journeys which resulted in Blossom as well as her two siblings. While her siblings remained in their host's lair just a little while longer to prepare for their journey to aid Shadowbinder, Blossom instead longed for a taste of the world before settling down.

"Naerys help me please! I can't stand this place! It's hell and I need to get out! I need to get out! I need to get out! There is nothing here!"
Naerys never heard her. Skydust did, but all he ever offered was dry laughter, and a lazy wing around her shoulder. Pat, pat, pat. As if she were still a child. It was Flicker that listened to her soft crying in the dark, and the evening after Heart took their clutch, he lead her through the secret trails to the edges of the Tangled Wood. "Go. Find someplace better, and take this to remember me by."

Blossom still wasn't quite sure what led her in that particular direction, but along the Sunbeam Ruins she stumbled, clutching the the tiny brown-looking vest that Flicker had tossed at her as she fled. She slipped it on just in case and headed towards the Mirrorlight Promenade, keeping well left of the stream near the Hewn City, which was known to be the home to Devilsnaps. She'd never liked the sound of those. Up the steps she ran, only to be nearly knocked off her feet by a large luminescent figure. "Dear child!" A soothing and motherly voice chimed. "What ever is the hurry? Are you lost?" Before Blossom could answer, the gentle being continued: "My name is Kaha, and this is my wonderful family. Won't you join us for supper?"

Blossom nodded and made to follow the dragon as she turned to lead her towards where supper was being served. Other dragons were slowly filtering towards the same direction. As she walked a small dragon, named Cole scurried past with a quick grin and a hurried introduction. As he passed, Blossom heard a sentence float back to her from his retreating figure, "Never you worry, you're in good hands."

Though the feast was thrown in a cozy lair, and the food was good, Blossom found herself drifting onward... she stopped in the Starfall Isles only out of exhaustion. She could not outrun her heartsickness. There she met Gemma, and the Snapper recognized a fellow suffering soul.
At first, Gemma simply spent time with her, but as her stay in Deoradhan-Kunibert lengthened, Blossom found herself thinking of the Snapper as a friend: someone who understood and empathized with her feelings of worthlessness.

When Gemma first suggested that she nest with her own mate, Cupid, Blossom was taken aback. Yet her new friend argued that Cupid was unfailingly caring and loving, that he wanted everyone to be happy - that they deserved to be happy.

Still somewhat unconvinced - how would her having hatchlings with Gemma's mate make any of them happy? - Blossom nonetheless decided to try out Gemma's crazy suggestion. And she found her friend's assertions to be true: Cupid doted on her as if she was the best, most wonderful she-dragon in the world.

Her heart beginning to mend, Blossom set out again on her journey on the first of a new year. Hope was on the horizon.

Blossom ended up finding herself in a wind clan. The lair was filled with different dragons, everyone was unique. They took her in as if she was one of her own, fed her, and gave her a special traveler's nest she could stay in for as long as she wanted. She was finally starting to feel the happiness she never could find in her home clan. When she first arrived, the fashionista of the clan, Rarity, gave her a piece of apparel she "couldn't see on anyone else but her." Blossom took the Crimson Aviator Satchel gratefully. Now she could collect little things along her journey!

Looking out at the social area of the clan, she smiled to herself. Dragons were mingling, and even other travelers made their way in and out of the clan during her stay. She learned a lot from these travelers and the native dragons here. What the best food is in certain areas, best places to stay or take cover, and what places to avoid, most importantly. Speaking of other places made her want to see more of the world. Saying goodbye to her acquaintances, she left to find her next destination.

Not so long after Blossom parted with the dragons from the previous clan, she found herself with a Wind-tribe once again. She was flying around, just feeling the wind under her wings, as she encountered some dragons near the Reedcleft Ascent. Quickly the traveler was surrounded by them, riding the wind currents together while enjoying live itself.
Before noticing, the sky had darkened and a rather cold breeze stirred the air. Blossom was unsure where to find a place to spend the night. Poring over a solution she suddenly was approached by an intelligent looking Imperial who introduced himself as ‘Mythos’. He offered her a nice traveler's nest to escape the night and the cold. Blossom gladly accepted and followed the friendly clan home.

The next morning the air was fresh and sweet, promising to become a perfect day. Looking around, Blossom noticed a little white Coatl hatchling sitting at the edge of the lair, just staring into the distance. He looked lost, as if he would like to disappear any moment. A nice Skydancer named Tiamat told Blossom about the little ones story and the tundra immediately sensed him to be a kindred soul. She wanted to help Feign recover from his self selected exile.
So, it actually was the travelling dragon Blossom who brought the little one out of his shell and started the healing process of his heart. They spend days sitting on their usually place as Blossom talked about her experiences, about her travels, the dragons she had encountered and how they had helped her out. Everyone of the clan could watch Feign coming to trust the tundra-lady little by little as time passed by. Both of them started to enjoy the time spent together.

Finally Feigns true character reappeared and he started acting like a normal hatchling again. Blossom stayed with the clan until the little Coatl was fully fledged.
One day the young one sadly watched her leave, nonetheless he wished Blossom a ‘bon voyage’ and hopes to meet her on his own travels some day.

Blossom arrived next in a large, thriving water Clan. They lived on boats, and their lives were peaceful. Blossom stayed a while in this Clan. So long, that she soon lost track of the days, and it seemed like she'd been there forever. It wasn't so bad. when she thought about it. She could stay here forever, and live a peaceful life. But, even as she enjoyed this quiet, peaceful life, she felt a pull to keep going, keep traveling. Maybe she was running from something. She didn't know. And it didn't matter. She had to move on. She put it off as long as possible, enjoying each day and promising herself I'll leave tomorrow. Finally, with winter approaching, she flew off, a heavy weight in her heart. Maybe one day, she'd go back. She'd truly been happy there.
