Krasota found Reinholdt wandering and alone. He was injured and nearly dead, wings dragging when she picked him up and took him back to the lair to be patched back together. But some wounds never heal. Reinholdt speaks very little, and does not reference his past.

Reinholdt had a mate-- a beautiful Imperial named Cienne. They were attempting to start a life together, build a home with another clan. But it seemed things were never meant to be. Try after try, the two could never manage eggs, the shells were always too soft or the hatchlings were malformed and did not survive. It seemed like the Shade was touching their lives and no matter what they did, everything kept going wrong. Then the unthinkable happened and Cienne was killed. In mourning, Reinholdt had her laid to rest in the Clan burial ground. Less than a week later, the ground erupted in chaos as an Emperor burst into unlife, tearing free from the bonds of the earth and ripping through the clan as it scattered in terror.

Resigned to his fate, the Imperial male without a home or a mate went into battle with the other Imperials of the clan and helped destroy the last remnants of his love.

Because of this trauma, Reinholdt speaks little, but watches the burial grounds of the current clan carefully, making certain any of the Imperials buried there are buried far enough away from any others that the tragedy can never happen to another Clan.
