Named after both amber the gemstone, (formed by fossilized tree resin, and used in the first static electricity experiments), and Amber Liu, the member of the k-pop group f(x).
Amber is, in many ways, a scientist. An engineer. A dedicated researcher for the Stormcatcher. Speaking on monotone and acting out of pure logic, this Ridgeback has a gizmo and a theory for everything. She's tireless, and calculistic, never taking breaks to find out how things work, especially machines and programs.
