Charge: Hatchlings

Being born Hawthorn’s daughter, Europa has always loved stories of the sea. She loves to listen to her mother and Io when they tell tales of their adventures and will often ask them to sit down with her, asking for the same stories over and over again. She can spend days asking questions, eager to know every detail, no matter how small it is. Often she will listen to a story only to ask about a specific detail days later.

Her biggest wish is to cross the sea one day, just like Hawthorn and Io did before they joined the clan. However, she will never be able to enjoy the sight of it, for she was born blind. She rarely leaves the lair to avoid getting into trouble. When she does leave the lair, she never goes alone; her sister Leadwort will always be there to guide her, although she is capable of moving around on her own. If no one is available, her Spellbound Golem acts as a guide.

Since she is incapable of sight, her other senses have grown a lot. She mostly relies on her ears to move around, though she can and will use her sense of smell if needed. Her paws, tail and fins are very sensitive and can be used to feel her surroundings. She can hear and smell things others cannot and is often the first one to notice advancing groups of dragons or beastclan allies. She is also very sensitive to atmospheric changes and can often tell a storm coming before there are any physical signs of it.

Not only does she possess heightened senses, she also seems to be born with a natural defense mechanism, which allows her to unconsciously summon an invisible barrier when being attacked. This leads to the foe simply bouncing off of her, though this ability is only limited to herself. She uses it to protect younger dragons when the lair is being attacked, standing between them and the foe. Though she cannot see them, she will be able to sense them and does not hesitate to attack.

Europa is greatly beloved by the majority of the clan and many enjoy her company, for she will tell the same stories that have been told to her with so much passion that it is hard for anyone not to imagine them standing on the deck of the Nimrod, surrounded by the ice and sea of the Southern Icefield, buffeted by its cold winds. Her words fill the caves with smells and sounds; they paint pictures on the walls and leave her listeners mesmerized.

She is known for her kindness and her patience, willing to listen to anyone who comes to her to vent about their problems or who simply wishes for her company. Often, she will ask questions about the world outside the lair. She is eager to know about the appearance of all things, even though she is not able to imagine them other than by smell and sound. Most of the time she can be found surrounded by younger dragons, not hatchlings anymore, but still too young to be considered adults, playing with them and telling them stories.
