Battle of the First Four 2016, the Final Day
Ambush
..................................
The battle raged and boiled below him, dragons writhing in and out of the clouds, the sounds of their screeching and the high whistle of magic spells filling the air. Aeolus bared his teeth and and slammed his sword into the body of another dragon. It crumpled and fell soundlessly, disappearing into the fray below.
The spiral took a moment to look around him, the magic-laden air ripping at his lungs with each harsh breath. Blood dripped from a gash above his eye, half-blinding him, but the heat singing in his veins blocked out any pain.
As he shifted his sword and looked for a new opponent, a large shape rose out of the mass of dragons below, turned toward him. A massive blue guardian, its hide covered in scars and fresh blood, locked its gaze on Aeolus.

Mistral Jamboree 2016, Sunset of the Final Day
The Healing Ceremony
..................................
The sun fell slowly through the sky, its great golden disk painting the clouds a powdery yellow. Aeolus watched as the shadows crept farther and farther across the Windswept Plateau, the vast forests of bamboo and great rocky outcroppings striking dramatic silhouettes against the fiery sky. And yet, as calm as the scene was before him, he could not find peace in it as he usually could.
The wyrm tapped his claws against the edge of the rock, an anxious static writhing in his stomach. Today was a big day. Or, it had the potential to be, if the Windsinger was willing to take notice. He sighed, his brow furrowed. The Windsinger never even took the time to come home to his own flight. Why would he step in now?
As Aeolus scratched more agitatedly on the edge of the rock, leaving faint white lines where his claws frayed on the rough surface, a tapping came from the door of his study. The spiral twisted as much as his injury would allow, craning his neck to peer at the door. "Yes?" He called, raising his voice over the breeze.
