Biography
The sort of hatchling who would swing around on the ceiling when he thinks that no one is looking. (He completely ignores his own sister because she's always so bossy, and he could do whatever he wanted when she wasn't paying attention.)
No one was really sure what to make of Xavven.
The spiral was one of the children of a dreamcatcher and a scientist (an engineer from the Lightning flight, to be exact).
It wasn't exactly what you'd call a dream pairing.
He did posses some of his father's dream-walking abilities though, but most of the dream-weaving bits were a little too surreal and puzzling to figure out.
Xavven did love to dream-walk though.
There was so much you could figure out about other dragons if you saw their dreams.
Sure, it was a little invasion of privacy, but it was useful to know who was trustworthy and who was not.
And although the clan leaders were pretty much oblivious to it, he made the borders of the clan a little safer.
There wasn't much of a life in the Scarred Wasteland though, so he left.
He'd found the Clan of the Crystal Flight after deciding to seek his own fortune elsewhere.
The ever-cheerful spiral had found a home in the growing clan.
He was the first to join, followed shortly by Eden, then Lakshmi and Sasuke.
Last to arrive was Scourge, the Bloodworm.
Scourge had been found on the borders of the clan by Lakshmi, and Xavven had scurried over as fast as he could.
It had taken awhile for the other spiral to recover.
The clan healer had a tough time trying to differentiate between the bloody patterns on Scourge and the actual blood on him, but they managed it in the end.
(Xavven had a little bit of a crush on Scourge. It wasn't something that he liked to admit, but he saw every problem as fixable, and when the Bloodworm spiral arrived in the clan, broken and damaged, well....he couldn't help it. He'd realized this after helping Scourge settle in, welcoming him and making him comfortable. Of course this was after he'd nested with Hirluin, a mirror who was as sharp as a blade with the wit to match. Xavven had felt a little guilty, but hey, it had been a one-night stand kind of thing, and it hadn't been anything special. At least, that was what he liked to think)
After that, the clan leaders decided to allow him to welcome newcomers and make them feel a little more at ease.
Xavven was good at that, in a way.
He emitted a sort of...comforting aura, warm and cozy, despite the clan practically living in a frozen tundra.
When he wasn't welcoming newcomers and helping them find a spot, he could normally be found delivering messages and running errands.
It wasn't the best job but it kept him busy.
Xavven was perfectly happy here.
Sure, he did miss his own parents but hey, both of the clans were already rather friendly with each other, so there was time for visits, and a few of that clan's dragons did visit.
And there wasn't much to miss about the Plaguebringer's stinking wastelands anyway.
Xavven was contented.
And that was all that mattered to him.
