"Come dance with me!"

Lanikai came from a light clan of beauty. everyone in that clan was picked to be the most beautiful and their attitudes reflected that. She doesn't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of times she was told that she was being "unladylike". Not to mention that her whole family could be so pretentious, always saying stuff about how "the light shines despite the shadows" and if she flew as high as she could, Lanikai could see the shadows. She thought they looked wonderful. Everyone laughing and playing and dancing in the eternal night. She made up her mind, she was going to live there.

The next morning Lanikai left home and began the journey into the Tangled Wood. Having grown up in the constant sunshine of the sunbeam ruins for so long it was hard for her to find her way around. Lanikai stumbled through the darkness for days searching for a clan she could call home, thankfully by this point her eyes had adjusted or else she would've walked smack into the spiral. He was a little eccentric looking but when he softly asked her if she was lost she couldn't help spilling out her whole story. "We've got plenty of room in my clan," he said, "if you want to join u-" He was cut off by an overjoyed nocturne tackle hugging him.
