Biography
Quote:
"She passed away peacefully," Aeria announces, her eyes downcast, expression solemn. "In her sleep and not in pain." The nocturne healer sat vigil with the others, soon after that.. and after a long twenty-four hours of silence following the death of a council member, the ceremonies began. First with the burial of Bunbulama. A week-long ceremony of gift-giving, grief managing and a pause on all kingdom trades. Second is preparing the den for a new council member, for Bunbulama's apprentice to take her spot as the nocturne's head. Who, in which is, Uoirrey. A nocturne much more battle-ready than Bunbulama ever was, but one who has also learned to see peace before peril. |

Bunbulama is big on trust. She works hard for other people's trust, while making them work hard for hers in return. She is very calm and motherly, as well- if you need comfort in the form of soothing herbal tea, or just some kind advice, going to her is the best option.

tw // mentions of transphobia The female Nocturne carefully placed the tray of steaming tea in front of the young Skydancer, her eyes soft and warm. "Now, tell me," Bunbulama began. "What's bothering you?" The brightly colored Skydancer shook their head. "I.." They wanted to continue speaking, but their words got lodged in their throat. The Nocturne let out a soft sound, and nudged the cup of tea closer to the younger dragon. "Thank you," they whisper after picking up the cup and taking a few deep sips, uncaring of the scalding temperature. "I, uhm. I was working as Bal's TA this morning, and," they took a deep breath. "Bal did nothing wrong, but..One of the kids in her class kept...Misgendering me, on purpose, because I kept correcting her, but she just wouldn't listen." "Balberith did nothing about it?" Bunbulama asked, not unkindly. "No! I mean, yes- yes, she did. She pulled the kid out of the classroom, spoke with her, and brought the two of us out in the hall once they spoke. Bal made the student apologize to me, using my correct pronouns." They clarified. "I feel like that issue was resolved quite nicely." The Nocturne smiled. "Is this what you wished to speak about? How can I help, Baraqijal?" Baraqijal swallowed, thinking it over in their head. "I just..Can I stay here for a while, maybe? Just to calm myself down. I'm still really jumpy at the moment." "Of course, honey. Stay as long as you'd like," Bunbulama stood up and took away the now empty cup of tea on the tray. "Would you like more tea? I just recently roasted some ants, if you'd like to snack on those for a while." The brightly colored Skydancer smiled softly, settling further into their seat. "Sure, I could use both." Bunbulama loved taking care of others. Even if she had a hard time figuring out the problem, she always kept her mind open and did her best to help. As the older Nocturne filled up two cups of tea and two tiny bowls of roasted ants, she thought about all the dragons who have come to her for advice, and smiled. |

Q: Bunbulama, how often do other dragons come to you for advice or when they need to vent? Do others usually come to you for more serious/personal reasons or just to share some of their current thoughts?
A: The elderly nocturne smiled, the motion soft and kind. "Well, both, of course," she says, coming to sit beside you, but made sure you were comfortable with it before settling down. "I enjoy being able to help others through their hard times, because I know I didn't have someone like that growing up."
"And, y'know what? I think I've helped many. Dragons have come to me just to simply tell me about their day even if it was good or not, just because I love hearing people talk," Bunbulama continues, arcane eyes drifting off as she spoke. "They've also come to be for help on personal issues, along with some serious ones - especially if said problems could effect the clan's stability in any way."
"I have a couple youngsters come in a few times a moon," The nocturne smiled, eyes refocusing to face the distance - where the sea could be seen crashing into a sheer rock cliff with caves carved into the side. "And some are with me weekly, or bi-weekly, just chatting with me while I prepare tea."
Turning her head to gaze upon you, Bunbulama tilted her head to the side. "Was there something you wanted to speak to me about? Ranting, venting, other?"
