Bio
As the leader of the clan, it is nearly inevitable that Brightmist is stoic, indomitable, and steadfast. He is beyond dedicated to the safety of his clan, because he's lived only to prove that the color of his eyes does not determine the strength of the bond he has to the Stormcatcher.
Born to a pair of Plague dragons who resided amidst the Shadow flight, Bright had always been taught to cheat, lie, and decieve. All things he could not stand for. Consant unruliness and anarchy was what he felt living in his old flight, all things that gave him great unrest. He never felt he had a true purpose, and felt adrift without the rules and order that he was told existed in other flights. He hated the lack of morals. He hated that rather than getting in trouble for stealing scraps of food out of the local trade post, he was praised for it. He was taught that this was right; this was the way of his clan. But Brightmist felt all remorse, every day, for the tricks and antics of his clan tore at his very core. He knew he didn't belong here. Other dragons were very much at peace with how they went about living. Having become so aware of himself at such a young age, Brightmist found it difficult to fit in whith other flightlings. Often sticking to himself to avoid the conflicts caused whenever he offered more respectable approaches to solving problems. This only seemed to draw more attention to him, however, and Bright took on many scars durring small scuffles around his home whenever he refused to partake in his siblings' and their friends' troublemaking. His parents, already very detatched, due to the number of hatchlings they had, grew further and further away from Brightmist, because they could find no simmilarities with him. This continued to push Brightmist away from his flight. He couldn't stand never feeling at home, always having to bury his thoughts of what was right and what was wrong. On a night when the rest of his clan seemed preoccupied, Brightmist snuck away from the Driftwood Drag, leaving his family's drab dam dark and empty while they were away at work.
Rough travels laid ahead for Brightmist, as the young dragon had a long way to go before he would find a place to truly call home in a cave hidden deep inside a canyon within The Shifting expanse.
