Coatl culture dictates that any hatchlings born with dull plumage are to be cast out so as not to bring misfortune to the brood. Fondant was one such hatchling, though she was especially unfortunate to develop her distinctly splotched coat well before she reached adolescence. Striking out on her own in the Ashfall Waste after migrating from the Sunbeam Ruins, she gained an aptitude for collecting fanciful items. Where other dragons collected metals and precious gems, she instead gathered feathers, cloth, and colorful furs wherever they were to be found.
Crafting her own brilliant makeshift plumage and accessories, she caught the eye of the other dragons in Thyraxxis' clan. They took her in for her skill, and she opted to stay out of necessity. Now she lives in relative peace, changing her decorative accoutrements whenever a creative mood or theme strikes her. Her dream is that one day other dragons in the clan will come to her for fashion advice, but for now she is just happy to have a place to belong.
