Yakov is a quiet and gentle soul. His travels to clan Glittermoon were delayed due to their Ice Ambassador getting a bit distracted along the way. Once Yakov saw Kristoff's arrival he packed up and booked it to clan Glittermoon to start a new life. With him, he brought his talent of cooking fish to clan Glittermoon. Gobble and Saffron immediately took Yakov into the business as their seafood chef.

During is time as a chef he also spent some time serving as well. During that time he met a young Coatl who came to the cafe. She was quiet and polite, and Yakov fell in love with the Coatl. He introduced himself and he found out her name was Rynka. She was passing through the clan's territory to deliver a few cakes to a clan that was a friend of Hadopelagic Clan. When she left the cafe Yakov believed that was their last encounter.

Months went by since their encounter, and one day she showed up at the entrance to the clan. Right away he went to October and asked if she could become a permanent member. He agreed and Yakov took Rynka as his mate. She became a baker at the cafe and will sometimes help Yakov with cooking.
