Taken in from a water clan at a young age, Marth was brought up carefully by the adults of the clan after he lost his family in a tragic attack. The tragedy made him quiet and reserved growing up, but he has grown to love his clan and open up to those he is close with.

Tressa often goes to him for help due to his ability to be diplomatic and peaceful to avoid more wars, and he is a regal dragon, elegant and kind-tempered, and always patient with those with whom he speaks. He isn't particularly good at expressing his emotions, but he is loyal and protective of his clan and friends.

The night that Jemell died has affected Marth profoundly. Losing his son to one of his own clan members like that has brought him great grief, and he has had trouble sleeping at all because of it. Lena and his three daughters often try to get him to open up to them and deal with the tragedy, but he says he needs time. Ever since Jemell's death, he and Emeraldcatcher seem to have settled their differences and seem to be on good terms, maybe not friends, but not enemies either.

A noble and kind dragon, he is a prince among the clan.

Despite all this, Clan Singing Winds no longer felt like home. He'd been with Lena for so long, had so many children, and made so many connections and friendships, but he never felt truly relaxed or at home. So many things are constantly changing and moving, especially in a wind clan, and he feels he just can't keep up. Tragedy when he was born, tragedy when he was here, and the constant, moving winds. He just wants to lay down, relax in the sun, and feel... At ease.

And so, he left.
