Other than the progenitors, Cyon was the first dragon to join Clan Typhoid. He was raised in his clan of origin with the knowledge that he would one day have to choose his fate: stay, or find a young new clan to protect? He chose the latter, deciding that his services would be more useful elsewhere, helping a new clan to find its footing.

The progenitors of Clan Typhoid heard about this and jumped on the opportunity to have a sturdy snapper backing them up and pleaded for theirs to be the clan he chose. As a dragon who had known faes in the past, he agreed to help them. Gregori's ambition worries him slightly, but he has a good feeling about the clan he now calls home.

As a protector, he is exempt from the overwhelming push for the clan to make a name for itself. Still, he nested for one clutch with a dragon named Chesay in order to assist the new clan, though he never intends to nest again. Of this clutch, one hatchling, named Putricide was chosen by the progenitors to remain with the clan, to be trained by Cyon as a warrior to protect them.
