Many of the dragons in the clan joke that Zephyr is a Lightning dragon at heart. Her knowledge of technology rivals that of any other dragon in the clan, and has earned her a place in the ruling council of the clan. Her quite interesting legwear is constantly being modified and improved, and has only exploded a few times.
After the clan had been alive for some time, Firefly came down with a mysterious disease, leaving leadership of the clan in the talons of Zephyr for some time. At least until he could fly again.

One fateful Autumn day, Somnus approached the clan with bad news. Every dragon fell silent as the Pearlcatcher, sobbing, informed the clan:

Firefly was dead.

Nobody could believe it at first. Firefly? The founder of our great clan? Dead?
But he was, and Zephyr had to lead the clan from now on.
