Leira was what most dragons would call 'odd'. She lives alone, in the middle of a swamp, in a shack that looks like it's always about ten seconds from collapsing at any given moment. She's covered in mud, sticks, leaves, and various small animals, and her fur is caked with clumps of dirt and rocks. Yet this dragon is one of the most happy, bubbly souls you could ever meet. Being covered in dirt is just the typical appearance of a Bog Witch.

Leira has is one of the few dragons in Sorneith to have successfully changed their element. Despite being born in the Sunbeam ruins, years of grueling training and rituals have traded her magic for that of an earth dragon. Her eyes have faded from vibrant yellow to a light brown. The stones that cover the ends of her wings are only a testament to her newfound abilities. Many dragons from the Surrounding Lands will seek the Bog Witch to aid in their quest to change their element, or master the magicks of another.

Leira's familiar, a kelpie named Sage, was rescued by the young dragon when they were a foal, caught in a hunting trap that caused them to lose the use of one of their hind legs. Leira has taken it upon herself to heal them, and in the process the two have become inseparable. The young dragon has a deep respect for the other inhabitants of her swamp, and very few animals are ever actually afraid of her.

Leira is also a proud member of Morgana's coven, the youngest dragon to have obtained a position there. The Coven, a group of talented sorcerers, was put in place by the elderly Nocturne as a way of discussing and and solving problems in the surrounding lands. Lately, the topic of discussion has shifted to the ever-growing kingdom of Aespana, led by the High Queen Valentine. Leira is no stranger to the kingdom, having been born is Aespana herself before leaving to pursue a more magical lifestyle. (She can't help but wonder what her mother would think of her now)

Truthfully, Leira doesn't know much about what's happening in Aespana. She left shortly before Valentine rose to power, and things seemed okay then. Sure, the royalty were a bit snobbish, and spend far too much time spoiling their daughter, but they weren't wicked. But after a visit to her brother, who still lived in Aespana as a merchant, she was told of horrifying things. Armies raginf through the surrounding lands and chasing out small clans. Prisoners of war being forced to fight in coliseums. Dragons used as living science experiments by the Queen's chief alchemist. It made her want nothing more than to crawl into her shack and pull her hat over her eyes.

She's no hero, and she knows it. She doesn't feel the hot-blooded courage that runs through the veins of the dragons who stand up and fight. But she wants to help, in one way or another. And she promises she'll do what she can. 		12260681p.png
