Joining around the same time as Megatron. Both him and Megatron have a close bond that no dragon can understand. Some believed they were brothers in arms once, best friends torn apart because of an undeniable conflict. Neither Optimus nor Megatron like discussing their past, and very few dragons do know about it. These dragons being Sotiras, and Erik. Optimus is one of the senior warriors of the clan, and is well known for his strategies in defense, using various tactics only experienced warriors can think of.

He is quite a wise and gentle soul, and many look up to him for wisdom. Optimus takes it upon himself, to make sure the future generations learn from his own mistakes. For this reason, he loves to mentor and teach any hatchlings that strive for his advice, and he can be often seen taking evening flights with Megatron or Sotiras.
