No pleasant dream this. Lightning danced across my hazy vision and the smell of sulfur filled my nostrils. I kept on telling myself this was a dream, but I could not prevent the inevitable feeling of fear that made my body tremble. The great beast would emerge any time now. It would emerge from the great grey ocean in the distance and its jaws would close around me. This creature of dark mist and pulsing electricity was the plague of the gods all those millions of years ago. Why it now plagued me I would never fathom. The dreams I had been suffering for weeks had to be a warning from Stormcatcher of rough riptides ahead.

Ancalagon's eyes still sparked as they fluttered open. The searing yet beautiful light that filtered through his window wasn't accommodating to his blue eyes. Never would he get used to this façade of eternal light. Ancalagon often missed his homeland of sulfur and storms and winds you could glide on forever. But his knowledge of storms and the looming threat could help Dawnfyre's kingdom a great deal. He would soon be the first dragon to construct vast ships for dragons that couldn't fly along the vast ocean like their brothers and sisters. Seems he learned a thing or too from Stormdad after all.
