Eunys
The Wayward

Name meaning: a variation of Eunice, "good victory". Because she looks ready to kick anyone's butt.

Eunys fits her name well: she is strong, self-confident and always aiming to win. Perhaps it's her blood as a Plague dragon, but she considers most of her lairmates lacking ambition and what she'd now affectionally call "weaky".

Growing up in a different flight and finding her place there was hard for her, and she'd gone through quite a lot of dragon-teenage drama, most of which was rather dangerous. She couldn't understand the Wind dragons not sharing the values of survival above all else, and ended up challenging her lairmates to see if the clan was even worth for her to stay in.

She half-wrecked the lair in the process (being larger than most dragons in the clan) and injured most of the Mirror guardians of it, but was stopped by Iscra and Dio. Those two, being from different flights originally as well, were able to get through to Eunys and eventually make her settle down and realize that there are different kinds of strength, and different kind of values. Some time afterward, Eunys also bonded with Sibek, who shared with her his own anxiety over his place in the world and helped her understand her Wind lairmates better.

In the end Eunys came to realize that while there were and always would be differences between her and her lairmates, it didn't have to be cause for conflict and dislike. While she herself still strives to the ideal of survival and being the strongest, this mindset now includes her friends, too - they might be weaker and less adaptable and too trusting, in her opinion, but she wants them to survive, too.

Eunys teases her clansmates occasionally, especially Seeker, and likes to scare newcomers with her fearsome appearance before laughing it off and just essentially being a jerk with a heart of gold. She also has the biggest and most confusing hatecrush on Dio, which is mutual (you are as likely to see the two brawling as you are to see them cuddling. Or perhaps they're trying to strangle each other. No one is sure and would rather they keep whatever it is between them).
