The leader of the Clan on the Leyline is a small fae named Niahm. When she founded the clan, it was her and Ruairi. Their children have long left the nest, and she and he parted peacefully. Now, she spends her life looking after those who are lost and and have found their way to her. Though she's small, her voice carries far, and all those who dwell withing her lair respect and obey. They don't take kindly to their leader being disrespected, and even the youngest hatchling knows to obey. Some find her to be intimidating, but she's very kind, and quite gentle.

Injured in a battle with a rival clan, Niahm moved her clan to a place where they could be safe. Though they no longer have to live in fear, the pain of her injury reminds her of how easily this could change. Because of this, she seeks alliances with neighboring clans, building friendship and mutual trust. She makes it her duty to ensure that all of her clan are trained in at least basic defense, and fighting. She's incapable of fighting, so she leaves it to her well trained team of Ruairi, Maria, and Reba to train the clan.

Many of those hatched in Niahm's nest leave to join the Windsinger, and though it makes her sad to see them go, she's always proud of their accomplishments, and knows that they're they'll be treated well, and be with their sacred deity. Though dragons come and go through lair often, each one of them has a place in her heart. She knows it's the Wind way, whether by birth or by choice, to travel and to explore, and she wishes with all of her soul that her little ones are always happy wherever they choose to go.
