Biography
Psyche liked Faquarl.
She had since they first met as hatchlings when 'rose bought them from the Auction House. They met near instantly, Faquarl being in the lair for minutes longer than her. When they met eyes, Psyche felt the spark in her chest. Love.
Faquarl spent so much time with Jabor, though. Psyche didn't dare get close. She couldn't. Jabor was big and scary-looking and gave Faquarl this big nasty gash on his neck that would never heal...yet Faquarl stayed close friends with him. Psyche didn't understand. If you got hurt, you stayed away from what hurt you. You'd get near it again and again. Right?
When Jabor left, exalted to the Arcanist so that a pretty young Tundra could join the clan, Psyche felt her heart break along with Faquarl's. The older Spiral was so sad when Jabor left. His activity dropped near instantly. The only thing he focused on was that new Tundra, NiGHTS. Psyche resigned herself to being alone.
After her nest with Indigo hatched and the two hatchlings left for other clans, Psyche was surprised to find Faquarl at her nest. "Why are you here?"
"I realize now...perhaps I have neglected my part in adding to the clan. I have not sought a mate or had hatchlings of my own," Faquarl admitted, eyeing the eggshells that hid beneath the grass of the nest. "Psyche, I know you have only just sent your young away...but would you consider having a clutch with me?"
Psyche's heart soared. "Yes, yes!" she cried, zipping around him in joy.
She liked--no, she loved--Faquarl. She still does to this day. She knows she will never be Jabor or NiGHTS, just as he will never be Indigo. They're both fine with this.
Who better to be than yourself, anyways?
