Biography
Hesios is vain, and can often be seen grooming himself or staring at his reflection. First impressions of Hesios label him as selfish, but deep down inside Hesios has a heart of gold. He started working as one of the clan's architects, helping create beautiful lodgings for clanmembers. He insists they must be beautiful.
Pandora perched herself on an ice pillar sticking out of the ground, stretching herself out under the sun. Resting her head in her claws, she watched with amusement as the flustered architect busied himself with his work, yelling out commands to the helpers building new lodgings.
"No no no," He frowned, "That is totally asymmetrical! Move the damn logs, it looks unbalanced!" Hesios fluttered over to a pair of dragons and continued his usual routine of chewing out workers, "Did you not hear me the first time?! Use the oak, not cedar! Otherwise the colours will be off! Have you lot no sense of style at all?!"
The fae grumbled to himself, going back to his calculations and designs. Pandora chuckled.
"Oh my, he's so uptight. Time to make things a little livelier." Not moving from her resting spot, she flicked her wrist.
The hut nearest to her twisted. The once hard and sturdy rocks and wood became jelly-like at the hands of the fae magician.
Hesios heard the commotion and spun around, "What's going on?!"
By then the house had become a melted, churning puddle of greys and browns. Hesios' brow twitched, angered that someone would pull this childish trick on his work.
"Such boring structure, where's the variety!" Pandora called out, still unseen from her perch, "All the designs are so boring and ordinary. You need some flair in your life!" She flicked her wrist again.
The puddle rose from the ground, pulsing and taking shape. The house took on a round form, with frosty swirls curling around the exterior. The house continued to bend and twist under Pandora's will, looking like something out of a surreal painting.
"W-What's this monstrosity!" Hesios snapped, "Who dares to mess with my buildings! Show yourself!" His crests rippled and flared.
Pandora was laughing. Flick went her wrist yet again.
Another house began transforming. This time it was all spindly and angular. A chimney popped out with a puff of smoke.
Flick. A house took on a square shape.
Flick. A house gained three more windows and a set of icy patterns
Flick. A house bubbled like some vile thing from a witches cauldron and grew a pair of legs.
Flick. Hesios' workbench grew a set of legs as well and scurried off.
Workers were scrambling everywhere, both startled and amazed. Hesios blinked. He recognized this magic.
"PANDORA STOP IT!!" The distressed architect yelled, followed by a string of profanities that this website would not allow.
Pandora gracefully flew down next to Hesios. By now she was laughing uncontrollably, which was quite rare for a fae.
"Didn't you say you wanted style?" She said.
"Well, yeah- but-but-look at th-" The architect protested. He looked around him. The bizarrely shaped building had patterns etched into them, and icicles growing from them like fungi growing from wood. The ice cast the light in a beautiful play of rainbow light under the houses. His sputtering ceased.
"Well?" Pandora turned to him, a smug smile on her face.
"I-I uh...." Hesios cleared his throat, "Ahem. It's......satisfactory."
"Great" She flashed her brilliant white fangs and fluttered off to tend to her potion store. She shot a set of runes towards Hesios' escaping workbench to disenchant it.
"S-Sir, are you blushing?" One of the workers inquired.
"Of course not." The fae architect huffed, his crests turning a distinct shade of pink.
