Ahavah was raised in an especially brutal clan. The hatchlings of said clan were pointedly ignored by the rest until the proved themselves somehow useful. Many died before they were even born.

Not Ahavah, though. She proved to have a tougher-than-nails immune system and fought through her first year. While her siblings suffered a sever case of polio that left their legs rather useless, she recovered. By the time she was three, she was a noticeably proficient hunter. When she finally matured, she was feared and beloved throughout the clan as a shining example of the Wastelands.

When she was old enough, she left, looking for a new life. She joined her childhood friend, Spearmint, on a journey to the Light Realm, taking him as a mate along the way. They tried to settle in the strange new place, but it simply wasn't meant to be, and in the end, they tearfully parted ways.

Bound with an egg, she knew she needed a safe place to stay and travelled back to her homelands. She came across an Inn full of surprisingly welcoming Plague dragons, who took one look at her and knew she'd be an excellent guard. She took her duty very seriously, and, as she was perfectly adapted for her home, she excelled at her job.

Unfortunately, the rest of her clan wasn't so well-suited for their environment, and when a particularly nasty strain traveled through the land, almost all of them perished. While the others-including her daughter, Rhea-moved on, she stayed at the den for a few months to mourn, but when the prey stopped coming, she packed up her valuables and left.

It was then that she found herself unable to hurt other dragons as easily as she could before. Something about it reminded her of her clanmates and their untimely death. Ashamed of her past actions, aware that it probably hurt others as much as her clan's death had hurt her, she swore to never brutally injure another dragon again-though a few scratches to tell them to back off weren't out of the question.


Ahavah is still a fighter. She's quite confident in her ability to battle, but she's never the one to land the killing blow-not after all she's gone through. However, if pushed enough, her more violent streak starts to show, and there are times where she's lost control.

Her relationship with her daughter, Rhea, can be a bit rocky at times. She wants what's best for her, but has a hard time understanding and sympathizing with her wanderlust.
