-Do not look, not complete-

Ryna was a young hatchling when she appeared in Sornieth. She thought the way she appeared was strange, she had snow-white thick fur, bright yellow wings, and a red belly. She used to think she was only a simple human before, never imagining that she'd ever appear to be a sort of dragon. Ryna always believed in a sort of magic existing, which explained how she could also turn into a human and back to her hatchling form again, at will. As she scanned her surroundings Ryna noticed how dark it was, she realized it wasn't the sky that was dark but the forest she was in that was dark. Although, there were clusters of glowing mushrooms.

She hated that she stuck out in the dark so much, she always felt like there were creatures watching her, always watching. She didn't want to stay in the dark woods for much longer, she felt like she was always being followed. As she walked, trying to find her way out, she kept hearing noises behind her, glancing back she saw a giant purple and black snake, a Shadow Serpent. She began running as fast as she could, as fast as her small, legs could carry her.

As she was running she didn't notice the dragon in front of her. As the two small dragons collided, rolling over one another, the Shadow Serpent kept gaining on the two small dragons. The other dragon was startled and a bit angry after the collision. Once the two were able to get their footing the Shadow Serpent was right on top of them. The other dragon, a young male Pearlcatcher, wasn't intimidated by the Serpent he snarled and swiped his claws at the foe's face; causing it to turn and slither away to try and find an easier meal.

Ryna thanked the young male dragon and he only turned away from the female. Ryna, not knowing what else to do decided to follow him, he was the first dragon she met, and he seemed to be a good fighter. Eventually, the male turned and asked her to not follow him. She hadn't been eating, resting, nothing, and so she collapsed on the ground. The male looked at her, unconscious, and left with a soft sigh.

After what felt like forever Ryna opened her eyes to a different surrounding, she was under an overhang of a cliff, it had vines, and roots framing the opening, turning it into a cave of sorts. She had thought she smelled some delicious food, fruit? Impossible, but she couldn't get rid of the scent. She opened her eyes more and tried to sit up, to her surprise, she wasn't alone. The male pearlcatcher was resting next to the opposite side of the overhang, nestled in between some roots. Near where Ryna was laying was a pile of blackberries, which were quickly gobbled up. She rested her head back down after her meal and fell back to sleep.

Once she awoke again she noticed the male was gone.

She wandered out of the overhang and began walking, where to, she was unsure. After some time, she realized that, again, she was being followed. As she turned she noticed that there was nothing behind her. Turning back around she let out a faint squeak as her face was met with another dragon, who asked where she thought she was going.

As she composed herself, she noticed it was a pearlcatcher, The pearlcatcher. Ryna asked why he had come back again, to which he only shrugged; and told her that she wouldn't survive alone in the woods. He then turned around and began walking away, Ryna hadn't moved a muscle. He turned his head and asked if she were coming, To which she responded to by bounding over to his side.

So thus two began traveling together, a pair of two young hatchlings, wandering in the Tangled Wood. Neither even knowing the other's name, neither of them cared, though. They had company, and that was what mattered.
