B I O G R A P H Y
From birth, Fao knew he was different. His siblings stayed far away from him, as did the others within his old clan. His dark scales made him standout against his mother and father, forcing him to be an outcast from that point on, for the rest of his days. Older dragons who passed by his nest scowled down at him, giving him several glares and dirty looks. One day, when the rest of the clan was having their nightly meeting, Fao decided it was time for him to leave. He was tired of being put down and always felt unwanted. Not bothering to take anything with him other than a few pieces of fish for his journey, Fao quietly snuck out, knowing no one would come looking for him. He blended in so well with the night as he made his was through the forest. It took him hours, days, weeks even; until he finally came upon a cave entrance. Unsure if anyone was in the cave itself, Fao leaned in and called out quietly, hoping he wasn't disturbing anyone that was sleeping and or busy. Not hearing anything/anyone call back, he took a step forward, only to realize he had made a huge mistake. In front of him stood a large, male imperial. His scales on his body were golden and beautiful, bright just like Fao's mothers. The male imperial's wings were a deep crimson color, beautiful crystallized just like the rest of his body. Fao, being much smaller than the other imperial, looked up at. His body shook slightly, nervous and a bit scarred, but he attempted to hold himself tall and proud, showing that he had confidence. "You've entered my cave without permission, young one.." The golden imp spoke calmly, his voice strong and very powerful.

Leaning over, the imp quickly lit a few lanterns that were scattered along the flooring of his lair, which in turn, lit up the rest of the cave. It was still rather dark, considering they were in the Foxfire Bramble, which was Shadow territory and was usually kept rather dark. But from what Fao could see, the cave was beautifully decorated with several vines, flowers, lanterns, and other random oddities. In the back, there was a large bed like area made of what looked like a basket, though it was simply several huge branches and twigs strung together. The inside of the bed was lined with leaves and wolf pelts, along with a few, what looked like, stuffed mammertees. Taking a step back, Fao looked back up at the large imperial and gulped a bit before speaking, his voice rather weak and dry from not eating for a few days "I-i'm sorry.. I didn't mean, to intrude.. I was simply searching for a place to stay for the night.. I've been wandering for days after leaving my home, and needed somewhere to rest.. I will take my leave and not bother you again.." Fao quickly ducked his head down in respect to the elder Imperial before turning his back and beginning to walk back out, though he didn't get far before the other imp moved in front of him; causing Fao to stumble a bit in order to stop completely. Glancing up at the large male, his body was visibly trembling as he waited patiently.

"I never said you had to leave. Do not fret, young one. We are an accepting clan, just not fond of others stumbling into our lair late into the evening.." A low, grumble like chuckle escaped the large imperial's muzzle. "You are more than welcome to stay for however long you wish.. Come, we'll set up a bed for you in my den for the evening. I'm sure Damion won't mind to much.. Ah! That reminds me.." The golden male dipped his head low enough to be at eye level with Fao, a sheepish grin appearing on his face. "My name is Regal. I am the Alpha of this clan. You do as told, you will survive.. Tomorrow, you will meet the rest of the lair.. That is, if you choose to stay with us." Leaning back up, Regal motioned for Fao to follow him as he turned around and headed to his den once more. Fao stood completely still, silent even, as he listened close to his elder. Once he was finished talking, Fao finally spoke up, stuttering once more "T-thank you, for taking me in.." Again, his voice was soft and weak compared to Regal's, though he managed to get his point along just fine. "I-i don't want to be a bother to anyone, and I'm sorry for barging in this late.. My name is Faolin, but most everyone else calls me Fao.." Trotting along behind Regal, Fao did his best to keep up.
