Professor of Magic

“Paladin” was born in a lair of the Fortress of Ends. Life was difficult in that inhospitable land, and Paladin did not have an easy time of it...especially after his father left and his mother went to serve the Icewarden. Alone with a few of his hatch-mates, the young Pearlcatchers were raised by other dragons of their birth lair.

Paladin was adept in magic, a talent that manifested young. He studied hard and excelled greatly, much to the envy of his siblings and lair-mates. Mildly ostracized, Paladin set out young and traveled far. Braving the difficult flight across the ocean, Paladin landed on the shores of the Windswept Plateau and kept moving. He settled in many lairs along the way, further honing his magic. Along with the tales of his prowess was his reputation as a playboy – he seemed to flirt and charm any dragon that would give him more than a few moments of their attention.

In his journey to study magic, he traveled through the lands of the Arcanist and then into Dragonhome. He wanted to see the remnants of the Pillar of the World, the start of all of the world – surely there were ancient magics there. Mostly on accident, he settled in a lair there, determined to dig up as much information as he could. He became attached to the dragons of the clan he'd chosen to visit, and they were fond of him as well. The nickname “Paladin” that came from his talents and his flirty attitude stuck so firmly that he even started calling himself that. After a name, it became a title as well – as Paladin found himself teaching any hatchlings that were magically inclined. Unfortunately, quite a few hatchlings also come away with his flirty confidence.
