Ea is very much the opposite of his mate Anat. He is a tame, friendly dragon who would rather make friends than fight. On the day he made his lair, there was a commotion in the Driftwood Drag. Looking up from clearing away brambles and sticks, he saw males of various species fleeing from something that appeared to be a cross between a wild animal and a whirlwind. Ignoring their terrified screams or not being smart enough to run, he stood his ground to see what was coming. The dark creature that exploded into the clearing was none other than a young Anat.

"YOU THERE! BLUE TUNDRA!!" she screeched. "I HAVE TRAVELED MANY LEAGUES ACROSS THIS ACCURSED SWAMP IN SEARCH OF A WORTHY MATE! ALL OTHERS HAVE DISAPPOINTED ME BY FLEEING IN WEAKNESS! DO YOU STAND STRONG ENOUGH TO PLEDGE LOYALTY TO ME?"

Ea simply smiled and said "I don't care what others think of you, I would just be happy to have a mate."

"THEN FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, I CLAIM THIS LAIR AS MY OWN!!" she proclaimed loudly enough for all the neighbors to hear. The rest is history.

Despite being two totally different personalities, the two continue to be devoted parents, and never argue. Mostly because Ea agrees to whatever Anat wants.
