As a Hatchling...
It was a pleasant day in the clan's territory, and Ash was working on his latest contraption of mischief. He'd spent the entirety of the previous night constructing and reconstructing a specific part. Thus, he promptly fell asleep on a pile of parts. When he awoke, the contraption was entirely finished. Confused and more than a little curious, he and his female peers set up a stake-out to see what was going on. They almost missed the action as a spiral hatchling swooped in almost immediately and quickly finished the second contraption. They introduced themselves to the spiral, who was named Phinehas.

Now Phinehas is Ash's partner in crime, keeping him on track to an almost competitive degree. He is a master of efficiency and has a knack for seeing the fastest, easiest, and most effective way to do anything.

As an Adult...
In his adulthood, Phinehas continues to build contraptions alongside Ash. They use their inventions to improve the clan's life and make things more efficient.

When he isn't busy building or planning to build something, he accompanies Garnet on her patrols. Though he isn't a very good scout, he and Garnet enjoy each other's company.
