A normally quiet Tundra, Karale is the Clan Father and mate to the much smaller Fae, Aria. The two seem to understand each other perfectly, and trust each other completely. He is utterly smitten with Aria, and can be very protective of her. He adores it when she burrows into his mane.

While Aria oversees the day to day tasks of keeping the clan fed, organizing their hoard, and managing their treasure stores, Karale tends to the emotional needs of the dragons in their clan: sorting out disputes, returning items Dynamo and Voltage have 'borrowed', smoothing over upset inadvertently caused by Howl, and providing reassurance and comfort to his clan mates in need.

Karale collects books and scrolls, deeply interested in legends and myths, no matter which Flight they originated from. He's often sought out by the Clan's hatchlings for story time.
