Hailing from the Windswept Plateau, this female has had a rough life. Starting off alone, she didn't have anyone there for her. Until she met Pyramus. They seemed to get along well, his cool and even attitude leveling out her fiery and rather hot-headed demeanor. They became mates, and moved from the Windswept Plateaus to the Tangled Wood, where they started a life together, inviting dragons in that needed a home. All was well in the Araxias Clan, which is what they named themselves once they became larger in size. Saphira bore children after a little while, most going off to help a diety of their choice, but most often they joined the Shadowbinder and served under the Shadowmama. After a few more clutches of offspring, Saphira noticed Pyramus was growing more distant, and that he was away from the lair more and more. He barely spent time with her, and out of no where left her. Their last clutch of offspring they had disappeared, none of the offspring reaching their full maturity before they disappeared, taken away by Beastclan Hordes that had snuck into Araxias' land. Saphira, heartbroken and ashamed, shut herself away, and ultimately only joined her clanmates in battle against the Beastclan hordes, hoping that maybe one day she would be able to find the children she lost. Much time has passed since that happened, and Saphira welcomed a newcomer in, a fae that was like herself. His name was Eragon, and although it had been a little time since she had opened up to anyone, Saphira started to get to know this male, wondering what had brought him to the Araxias Clan. As she got to know him, and saw that he was indeed like Pyramus in certain ways, she felt herself try and stop the growing feelings that developed inside of her. After thinking much about this, she decided to consult Eleywen, one of her closer companions within the clan. After the female claimed that she was indeed falling for Eragon, Saphira confronted him about her feelings, and asked him to lead the clan alongside her. As of now, they both rule the Araxias clan together, taking it one step at a time as they plan to soon have heirs. |
