Orchid would've never thought to be the leader of a clan decades ago, being in a comfortable position in the safe Nagalight Clan at the Sunbeam Ruins. But good food, friends and plenty of studying opportunities wouldn't last forever, as eventually she started the Search.

This Guardian's Charge turned out to be her future mate, Aether, but the large coincidence of him being a well known pen pal of hers caused her to be shunned in her home, as most believed she was making it up. For their own wellbeing, both decided to elope, and had their home and children in the Windswept Plateau, where dragons of many Flights and beliefs are common.
A lone mountainous island in the roaring Garuda Vortex would soon become the clan's settlement, and though the days of being safe from raiders and violent weather are long gone, Orchid wouldn't have it any different.

Orchid is now the strong leader and progenitor of the clan, but likes nothing more than taking good care of the hatchlings, familiars and the plants on the lair. She hates fighting of any kind, though she can hold her ground if necessary.

As the first caretaker of the clan, she is the surrogate mom to a lot of dragons and familiars. It might've made her too mellow and forgiving to some, but she knows that most orphans and recently rescued hatchlings need the support in their first weeks, and will gladly spoil them until they can socialize on their own.

With familiars, Orchid will sometimes take whoever is looking lonely that day for walks and bonding, and never quite stops on one as there's always someone who could use the attention. Her best friend is her Orange Blotch Pansy, Goldilocks, who has a special spot in her room.
