Doomsinger, together with Regulus, founded the clan. Their clan grew over time, though their members were not always permanent. Many of their own children went to serve the deities while some had simply wandered off, never to be heard from again, though Doomsinger knew that they would eventually find their way back to the Shadowbinder.

What is missing? I feel...incomplete...

While she was happy with Regulus, they felt as if they were missing something, some piece of themselves that would make them whole. She turned to her dreams for the answers they sought. In her dream, she saw the great plains that made up Dragonhome at night, the Pillar standing tall in the distance against the light of the moon. The mountain further in the distance coalesced into the shape of a dragon, with eyes characteristic of a dragon born in Dragonhome. The landscape changed, showing the dragon flying through the Tangled Wood before it changed to reveal three lights chasing each other, two of which matched her and her mate's scales while the last was a vibrant shade of purple, before that, too, faded. Doomsinger awoke and relayed her dream to Regulus. Together, they waited patiently for their third, the one that would complete them.

The dream comes true at last.

Time passed and multiple dragons with the same vibrant purple scales in her dream appeared, though she knew instinctively that none of them were the one they sought. One day, Regulus came back much later than was expected from his excursions, bruised and bleeding, but refusing medical attention until he had seen her. Concerned, she rushed to his side, wondering what could be so urgent. She was shocked to hear of the Beastclan ambush that had nearly claimed her mate, would have if not for the Nocturne that rushed to his aid moments before he passed out, but was nowhere to be seen when he had awoken. She was even more shocked to hear that the Nocturne was the same shade of purple she had seen in her dreams. She reeled from the news while Regulus' wounds were tended to. Their third was here in the Tangled Woods at last.

Welcome home.

It was one of the newly instated border patrols that found him. The Nocturne was injured and unconscious when they spotted him and he was brought back to the clan to be treated. Doomsinger went to see the Nocturne after receiving the patrol's report. She knew, the moment she laid eyes on him, that he was from her dreams, the one Regulus had met. She and her mate waited patiently by his side between their duties, always making sure that at least one of them was present. He awoke later in the evening and she hesitated, wondering what she would tell him, how she would explain what she, what they were. Mates were made of two dragons, not three. She feared he would not accept what she had seen to be true. Her fears were immediately put to rest when the first thing he asked her was where their third was. Regulus was summoned and the two introduced themselves and told him about the clan and Doomsinger's dream. He, in turn, introduced himself as Church and told them his story. When he was well enough, he moved into their nest with them.

No one should ever have to fear the ties that bind them.

Doomsinger was uncertain how the clan would react to their leaders having a third dragon as their mate. However, it appeared her worries were for naught. Many in the clan supported them and those that didn't left to find a home elsewhere. While she was sad to see some of her clan leave, she knew that not everyone would be accepting of her triad. Doomsinger decided to set a new decree; that love, in all its forms, would be accepted in this clan, so long as they did no harm to another. She would make her clan a safe place for those who chose to call it home.
