 The sunset was a blazing orange over the scarred wasteland. Vaness finally got the chance settle down and rest her feet for the first time of the day. Managing and planning are very important tasks, more so than what any hatchling percieves. If there are any breaks in the work, she goes out of her way to check up on her clan members and get up-to-date with their lives. But now she could take a moment to relax and contemplate. She laid down on the pulsing ground. It was as alive as she was. The energy pulsing through the land was the same that pumped through her veins. Vaness was born from this land, destined to lead her clan here in Rotrock Rim. She was meant to protect and lead these wyrms. The insect-like matriarch of the clan is the example of her subjects. She doesn't beg for respect, she earns it.
