Biography

Ri Faolan.


“Aisling knows best… I think.”

Faolan is the king of Trikova Gona clan, although he is not the leader. As he tells the tale to the hatchlings many times over, Aisling was the one who founded the clan; he simply stumbled across her while he was sniffing a dandelion by the Starfall Isles. She smelled familiar to him although they had never met, and thus they had started their lives together.

Faolan is not, in any way shape or form, as headstrong as Aisling is. He is very laidback and while he is “king” it is simply because he helped Aisling form the clan, and they are mated. He would rather spend time laying in the woods or, better yet, the Starfall Isles. A part of him will never forgive Aisling for the betrayal of moving… it nearly ruined them. But he couldn’t have survived without her. After all, he was barely alive when she discovered him all those moons ago. Besides, The Tangled Wood wasn’t horrible. And the darkness didn’t bother him like it did some of the others.

Faolan also helps train the upcoming soldiers for battle. It’s always hard for him to send the dragons he has grown fond of to the Shadowbinder, especially when deep down his loyalty is to the Archanist. But as he says, “Aisling knows best.” He gives them strong words for them to remember in battle, the real battle… and he remembers the way each and every one of them smelled. Like home. Like determination. They wouldn’t be like that if he ever saw them again, that was for certain.

Faolan is very fond of plants. He likes to frolick if he’s not training or spending time with the young ones. He has an injury to his leg from one of the last dominance battles, so “frolicking” is more like “hobbling” at this point but… it’s all the same for him. He also likes to discover the little creatures in the Tangled Woods; the fact that they all glow still is very intriguing.

He watches over the clan, a constant protection; because although he may seem battered he still has a lot of fight in him. And the dragons in the cave are his family; he’d fight tooth and nail for them. He just hopes that Aisling would do the same. He thinks she would, but thinking sometimes isn’t as good as knowing.
