Biography

Lia sprang into existence at Starwood Strand, formed of a spontaneous whirl and burst of magic, like the ancestors of her species long ago. As such, she has neither parents nor siblings. Despite her origin deep in Arcane territory, she didn't feel at home there, didn't fit in- from the wrong colour of her eyes to the firey red of her scales, to her desire for physical combat over magical, she was not one of the Arcanist's. So she left, and travelled across Sornieth, to find a true home.

It was as she skirted the Scarred Wastelands and travelled the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents that she met Serpent- a Mirror dragon, vicious and not blessed with attractive scales, as lonely and restless as she. They hissed at each other on meeting, and for a moment, Serpent tensed as if ready to try and make her a snack, but something held him back. They each made to go their separate way, two strangers never to meet again- then found they were heading the same way.
It was half a day before they spoke to each other, but when they did, they quickly found they shared a goal: A nest, a clan, of their own, a home, warmth.

So they continued their journey together, until they reached the Ashfall Waste- and they both knew they had arrived. In its own way, the Flamecaller's domain is as harsh as that of the Plaguebringer, but it is warm. Sparks dance on the hot winds, the cracks and canyons of the pitted, ever-changing landscape ring with industry, and the dragons of the Fire flight laugh as they catch thermals with their wings spread wide and play among the billowing smoke. No one objects as they find the perfect spot in the Emberglow Hearth, a small crater with a gentle lava pool at the bottom, craggy black sides to build Fae nests in, ledges along the pool to bask in the heat and watch over incubating eggs. Amid friendly calls of welcome from dragons sweeping by, Lia and Serpent claim this little corner of the realm as their own, with the Flamecaller's blessing.
