Biography
A bright light came down from the heavens. In the palm of her hands lay a small white guardian. She was beautiful. However, the thought of her as a lovely obsidian lady had crossed the mind. Obsidian with thistle wings. These colors slowly flooded the dragon’s body. The dragon then grew to proper size and opened her eyes.
“Look at you! You’re such a pretty thing… Veil.”
I looked up to see a light. A voice was coming from it. “Mother…?” I thought to myself. I continued to look into the light as a hand came forward. My mother stroked my nose a few times before telling me that it was time for me to go…
Veil, she said. That must be my name. Veil…I will cherish it.
As I was told, I explored a bit around the lair that would be my new home. It was quite lonely all by myself but it wasn’t that way for long. The Gods had been listening to me talk to myself and sent me a mate from the heavens; the mate that I will begin my tribe with.
He was summoned to the top of our temple so I began my long walk. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I was disappointed that I still couldn’t see any bit of my new mate. I climbed the steps and as I got closer, I could tell it was a male Fae. “Why would they send me this?” I thought.
I continued to look at him and he back at me. Perhaps he will change, as I did. After waiting a while, I came to the conclusion that he wasn’t. “Hello, I’m Veil.”
He looked up at me shocked but flew up to my face to see me better. “I’m…Runic.” He smiled. I suppose he was kind of cute…
Beckoned by the Gods, we both made our way back to my lair. Runic was to be king of course, as was their will. We were told to sit in the nest together… I did as I was told but I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve never heard of a male actually SITTING in the nest before. I closed my eyes out of sheer nerves. Runic had noticed and placed his head upon mine. Quite the soothing experience. As I sat there trying to calm myself, I felt something by my foot. Three eggs had appeared in the nest. I knew right away that they were of Runic and I. Our new life as clan leaders began.
