Although her eyes indicate that Malgolzii hatched in a Plague nest, she actually was born in a small Nature clan. In her former life, she helped the clan's healer by taking care of the healing plants and trying to discover or grow completely new plants with an even stronger healing effect. Her gardening skills got better and better over time, and she achieved a good reputation. Eventually, dragons from different Flights came to Malgolzii and asked for advice about their local plants and their healing effects.

But not everyone liked her abilities. Many clans were envious of her skills and tried to convince her to leave her birth clan to join another one. The leaders of those clans hoped that if Malgolzii joined them, their clans would benefit of her renown, and thus would become famous too.
However, Malgolzii refused to leave her family. She wanted to stay with her clan rather than leaving it -- even if that would mean she would miss the chance to discover new plants in another Flight.

One night, Malgolzii was collecting plants near the border to Dragonhome when hunters of a Plague clan captured her. They were sent to bring her to their clan leader so he could interrogate her about possible secret plans Nature was making against Plague.
Malgolzii tried to fight against her kidnappers, but as they ambushed her, she had no chance to cast spells. She also could not use her claws because these hunters where much bigger than her and had an easy play to hold her arms, legs, wings and tail, so she was not able to do anyting against the Plague dragons.
In order to quiet Malgolzii, the hunters injected her with a toxin that would temporarily paralyze her. After that was done, they dragged her through Dragonhome to their Flight and thus to their clan leader, Fiikfaasmunax.

Malgolzii was tortured by him. He was certain that Nature was planning an attack against Plague, and he wanted to find out everything about Nature's chosen fighters and their tactics.
But Malgolzii did not know anything about attacking plans. She told Fiikfaasmunax again and again that she was just a herbalist, and that she hates war and does not want to get involved in one. But the leader did not believe her. He continued torturing her as he hoped to finally make her speak.

Malgolzii became weaker over time. Her body was infested by various diseases that are creeping over the Scarred Wasteland, and her mind was poisoned by the treatment she received. There was a point where everyone around her -- including herself -- thought she would die.
But she did not.
She survived, and Fiikfaasmunax noticed a difference in Malgolzii's eyes: their colour was slowly changing from green into the same red that dragons have when they hatch in a Plague nest.

The clan leader knew this was an extremely rare thing to happen, because that change in eye colour meant that Malgolzii was becoming a legitimate part of the Plague Flight -- as if she hatched there, and not in Nature Flight. She also lost her memory about her former life, but surprisingly not about her profession, and after the change she was undergoing was finished, Malgolzii felt like she has always been a Plague Dragon. She started feeling home in the Scarred Wasteland, and she chose to fully join the clan that captured her from her original homeland.

The clan leader knew how to make use of Malgolzii's change.
She quickly learned how to cultivate plants in the Scarred Wasteland, and became the clan's herbalist.
Today, Malgolzii is one of Fiikfaasmunax's closest trusted, and one of the most important clan members as well. Her knowledge is used by many dragons such as the gardener and healers who keep the herbivores fed and take care of the clan's overall well-being, but the alchemist and potions master too seek advice about herbs that can be used in their creations to produce even more powerful potions and poisons.
