As a Hatchling...
Garnet and Stella encountered Ash on one of their many adventures as hatchlings. They played with him the whole day, but when it came time for them to leave he became suddenly crestfallen. Concerned, the two promised to come back the next day. It wasn't until about a week later that he admitted that he had no home. The girls took him back to the lair, where Flannery was quick to accept him into the clan.

Now Ash is constantly on his feet, planning his next game. He loves pranks and often constructs elaborate traps to catch his victims off guard. He's also very observant and constantly looks for openings.

As an Adult...
Ash's love for building and inventing carried over to his adult roll as an engineer. He constantly seeks to improve the clan's life with various inventions. That being said, however, he still manages to find time for mischief making.

Occasionally he'll go on trips for days at a time, searching for the parts he needs or inspiration for his next invention. He has many contacts from the Shifting Expanse and can often get what he needs there in exchange for blueprints or an idea. He usually takes his mate, Philomelus, on these trips for her good eyes and advice.
