Biography
Shiva
God of destruction/transformation
(Snakes and bulls. Crescent moon, the river Ganges, third eye, trishula/trident, damaru drum. Skulls, cremation, and death-veils.)
Coatl, typically brightly-coloured, do not smile upon those within their breed to exhibit anything less than vibrance. It is not uncommon for pale dragons to be exiled from their nest entirely, and such it was with Shiva. Bitter not with the individuals to uphold these beliefs, but rather with the social system to enforce it, he seeks in what ways he can to transform the attitude of the Coatl breed to embrace all colours equally—bright and dull alike.
It was not always that his feelings were so level, as without the temperance of his mate Parvati, he is prone to ruminating with growing disgust over the follies of dragons. With her constant, devoted love for life and radiant warmth, he keeps his spirits high enough to encourage positive change while not succumbing to the disappointments he encounters along the way.
He champions this cause within and without the clan, encouraging all in humming tones that however they appear they are of equal merit and value, and that no colour can cause bad luck or bad health to befall any other. His efforts toward making it known that the colour of one's plumage does not reflect upon the content of their character are driven by his wish to spare all others the needless suffering he experienced.
