Nikolai

12/8/2013 -- Nikolai, newly arrived from Clan Dracoangelica, is something of a brooding young man. He writes poetry, plays the guitar (the dragon version of it, anyway), and spends a lot of time stargazing.

12/26/13 -- Nikolai was at last persuaded to try out the Coliseum today, and enjoyed it more than he thought he would. He's not very fast on his feet, but he's proven surprisingly sturdy, and his hits, when he can land them, land hard.

2/22/14 -- At last, a permanent mate for Nikolai! Though he was assigned once to Belladonna, they were never more than friends. He's been looking for love a long time, and finally found it in quiet, unassuming Peridot. Nikki takes great joy in cossetting and protecting his gentle darling, nursing her low self-esteem with his deep conviction of her beauty and worth. All he wants in return is equal devotion. Their relationship is perhaps more mutually dependent than most would want, but it's working for them.

6/12/14 -- Nikolai has earned an unexpected place in the clan as a Coliseum healer, the main support for Coli heavyweight Sunwing. He's become a more practical and mature dragon since he first entered the clan, but he still likes stargazing with his precious mate, and is happy to play a non-combat second-banana role in the Coli; it leaves him more time and energy for other things.

7/16/14 -- Peridot is leaving, and Nikolai isn't sure he can stand it. She has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take her jewelry-making skills to the next level -- fashioning pieces for the Tidelord himself and his dearest chosen ones. Nik is much too crucial a part of the clan to get permission to go with her. He urges her to go, knowing she'll pine the lost chance forever if she doesn't. They'll write to each other, and visit as often as possible; maybe one day Nikolai will be able to join her there.
