Biography
Faquarl curled in on himself, neck throbbing in pain. Jabor, an earthy Tundra and his dearest friend since their encounter upon joining animatedrose's clan, huddled over him with fangs bared.
"Jabor, back off. Let 'rose deal with it," Mossbeard ordered firmly.
Jabor growled, tail lashing before submitting to the progenitor dragon. He backed away, eyes locked on his best friend. The Spiral curled in on himself, pawing at the gashes, leaving streaks of red across his icy blue scales. The wounds had been accidental, too much roughhousing between him and Jabor, it was an accident.
A painful accident, but an accident nonetheless. Jabor would never hurt him on purpose.
"No one's blaming you, Jabor. Calm down. Nobody's in trouble," Mossbeard rumbled somewhere behind the Spiral, likely trying to placate Jabor. "Just let 'rose handle this. Go walk it off or something."
The neck bandage pulled tight around his long neck, constricting his breathing minutely. Faquarl would live, though. He'd handled worse than this. He would survive.
"Will you be okay?" animatedrose asked.
"I'll live," Faquarl huffed, rising to his feet. "Jabor, wait for me! I'm going with you!"
"Already? He just hurt y--"
"It was an accident! Neither of us will be blamed!" Faquarl hissed, puffing up in Mossbeard's face.
For once, the Guardian backed off, eyes wide in shock. With a dismissive snort, the Spiral rose and zipped to Jabor's side. The Tundra nuzzled him, thick fur gliding over smooth scales. Faquarl felt safe again despite his aching neck.
"I'm sorry," Jabor offered as they walked.
"It was an accident. There will be no apologies. Just keep your claws away from my neck next time," Faquarl requested.
"Will do," Jabor promised cheerily.
Faquarl smiled. Jabor truly was a friend to beat all friends. He was happy to know him.
