Biography
As all young Guardians do, Khiren left the nest at an early age to seek his charge. Being an adolescent, Khiren was confident and unafraid. During his travels he met a young female Ethereal Trickster. She had been captured by a cruel and unforgiving poacher, who beat her and kept her in a small cage. He had also built up a collection of other familiars. Khiren felt rage fill his body at the sight of crying trickster and came up with a plan to rescue her. Khiren manages to free all the familiars and feeling so grateful for his courageous and noble act, the Ethereal Trickster decides to go with him.
Khiren later meets Ariarna, who is being tomented by an evil ridgeback. After a furious battle, Khiren defeats the ridgeback and falls in love with Ariarna. Still seeking their charges they continue on their way. The Gladekeeper appears before them and speaks of a beautiful valley in her forest. She asks Khiren and Ariarna to keep watch over it and welcome and protect others who may wish to live there. They follow the directions to the valley, and once there fall in love with the beauty of it. They have found their charge and will protect it.
