Nassau's egg was found one day by Kladeos while the Spiral was out gathering for the clan. Kladeos knew there was something special about the egg, so he brought it back to the clan and took care of it himself. Xara was not happy with how much attention Kladeos gave to the single egg, and it has put a strain on their mateship, even as they had clutches of their own. Kladeos would spend more time tending to the egg he found than their own hatchlings.

When he was a hatchling, Kladeos and Xara had a hunch that he had horrible eyesight, but were unable to do much for him until their research yielded the results needed to create glasses for him. Nassau wasn't too happy to wear them, saying that it ruined his image, but he was more than happy to wear them once he could see clearly.

He is the most charismatic of the clan, and is the dragon most likely to go visit other territories during their festivals to be an entertainer. He is not an ambassador and refuses to touch politics, simply saying that his job is to make others smile as he weaves tales with his footsteps and body language. There are times when he doesn't return for almost a week after the flight's festival ends, but most assume it's because he needs the rest before he makes the (usually) long journey home. No one knows what he truly does in that extra week, and he intends to keep it that way.
