Biography
Celest – The Soothsayer Astrologist | Hunter | Seeker |
"If only it were so easy to forget would I start to forgive."
|
Celest arrived to the clan on a day like any other. She appeared to be lost in a daze, muttering something to herself with her head down and her wings tightly wrapped around herself despite the warmth of the sun that day. It was Perillos who found her wandering around the Promenade alone. She was very skittish and perhaps if found by any other dragon in the lair she may have fled. His tentative nature himself seemed only too convenient; he eventually inquired for her to come to rest at their home. There, the days eventually turned into weeks and poor Celest was mourning. Whatever who or what it was she was morning over, she never spoke a word of it. As time passed and the pain dulled she decided to make use of herself around the clan. It soon became very clear to everyone that she was not the meek dragon that arrived. She is fierce and dangerously cunning and takes joy in hunting. Thank goodness she also has an amazing sense of humor; easily retorting with witty comebacks is her specialty. She's become great friends with Askalavhos and Varden, wonderfully making banter with the Noc and a friendly rivalry with Ask. Celest loves it here. She would gladly defend her new family with tooth and claw to the end. When she is not hunting or goofing around she can often be found more active during nightfall. Celest has an incredible ability to pinpoint the stars and reads them to predict possible future instances, often looking for those in her favor. Living in this place where truth is valued her practice is always under criticism. Doesn't take her long before she tells them something unsavory then lo and behold, it happens. A very good idea to listen to any little quips she mutters. Despite all the time it took for her to recover plus the time for her to trust her new clanmates; she is still rather vicious to anyone who does her wrong. Everyone thinks it has to do with her life before Solace but whenever continuously asked she only gives a quick, cold glare and moves along her way. Heed the first warning she gives, the next time she won't be so polite. |
When she's not occupied with friends or the stars she must sleep eventually. Only problem is she has ferocious nightmares that left her sleepless practically every night. Her long hours awake at night didn't go unnoticed however. Elpidios, usually out at night himself, found her. Too often she clearly looked exhausted and after running into each other many times and saw her insomnia was he seriously worrying for her. She couldn't brush it off as "not tired" two weeks in a row. So one night he went out to secretly gift her a Dreameater's tusk in hopes it would ease her troubles. So over time he would continue to leave her little gifts. Either more tusks as they seemed to lessen the dark circles around her eyes, or sometimes leaving a jar of glowing Fallout Whisper butterflies. It wasn't about the gifts themselves, but that someone took notice. There is someone that still cared. She thought herself foolish for falling victim to such elementary affections, but she smiled more often. Celest found herself in better spirits each passing day. It didn't take Celest long to figure out who was leaving these precious gifts. It didn't take her long to fall deeply in love with him. She is a dragon of action after all, and so one night she finally sought out the Coatl. The rest is history. She always dons the sakura flowercrown and lei he gifted her the night she came to confront him about his antics. Anyone who tried to prod her for information of that night she only responded to with giggles. It was wonderful to see her happy. |
